SUNDERLAND striker NICKLAS Bendtner was reported to have launched into an all-out tantrum last weekend at a pizzeria in Copenhagen last weekend.

According to an article in the Danish publication Ekstrabladet, the hullaballoo began when Bendtner’s credit card malfunctioned while attempting to purchase a slice of pizza.

Frustrated, the striker currently on loan from Arsenal attempted to convince the pizzeria workers to give him the slice for free.

As expected, the establishment refused, causing the 23-year old Bendtner to launch into an all-out fit.

‘Don’t you know who I am?’ he exclaimed.  ‘I can buy the whole pizzeria.’

When asked about the incident, an unnamed staff member told the local publication that they refused despite the millionaire’s challenge.

‘We told him that it did not matter who he was,’ the staff member said.  ‘If he could not pay, there was no pizza.’

The paper also managed to get the thoughts of a customer who had witnessed the entire scene unfold.

‘He was fucking arrogant, acted as if he owned the place,’ said the customer, speaking of Bendtner.  ‘All the people just stood and looked at each other and shook their heads over the way he behaved.’

When Bendtner saw that the establishment would not budge, he was reported to have then proceeded to ask the other customers in the pizzeria to fund his purchase, which cost about 120 kroner.

According to following reports, the entire incident ended when two girls, in a gesture of pity and good will, agreed to pay for Bendtner’s pizza.

The striker was said to have then jumped into a taxi and rode away.
