Suarez demands apology from Evra fro racism accusations

Liverpool star Luis Suarez is said to be planning to publicly demand that Manchester United’s Patrice Evra issue an apology for his racist allegations.

This is the latest development in the ongoing conflict that sees Evra accusing Suarez of making racist remarks after the Reds and the Devils took a draw at Anfield last month.

Responding to the accusations, Suarez adamantly insisted that no foul play had taken place.

The same statements were being suggested by officials, specifically referee of the match Andre Marriner, whose report showed he had heard no racist remarks.

Currently the matter is under the investigation of the Football Association, and word on whether or not Suarez will face charges for the accusation will be determined this week.

According to the Uruguayan striker, Evra’s claims of racism have no grounds or basis.

‘The FA will have to clear it up with him, because there is no proof at all that I have said anything racist,’ he said.  ‘I didn’t say anything like that to him.’

Suarez continued to say that although the issue is yet to be settled, he insisted that an apology must be issued.

‘There are things that happen in football, all in the moment, that leaves one feeling bad,’ he said.  ‘Now we have to wait to see this issue decided and then the Manchester player and I will have to clear things up.

‘Depending on who ends up in the wrong, one of us will have to apologise.’

The Uruguayan is embroiled in what is currently the second racism issue plaguing UEFA.  Also pitted against the authorities is Chelsea captain John Terry.

Terry, however, was reportedly recently given the go signal by the FA to take part in the international friendlies for the English team, headed by Fabio Capello.

The decision by the FA to allow Terry to participate in the matches will as a result see him take the field against Spain this weekend, and then against Sweden on Tuesday.
