DAVID Beckham is staying with the LA Galaxy.
And that would be where the veteran playmaker is playing, not with the French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
Beckham’s destination became clear on Tuesday after no less than PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi announced that the deal to bring the former England captain to the City of Lights is not pushing through.
Al Khelaifi spoke with French radio station RMC and replied “I think so’’ when asked if he thought Beckham would be staying in Los Angeles.
“David Beckham is in Los Angeles and will stay there. He will not come (to PSG), it’s clear,’’ he said.
Beckham and his wife Victoria raised their four children in LA and reports indicated that they would continue living in the United States.
After leaving Real Madrid, Beckham moved to the City of Angels in 2007. His contract with the Galaxy expires last season during which he was a key figure in their success in the Major League Soccer.
Beckham is said to be ready to sign a fresh, one-year-deal with the Galaxy after talks for him to move to PSG collapsed.
PSG, now coached by former Chelsea bench tactician Carlo Ancelotti, had dangled a $12-million-per-season offer for Beckham to play for them and the chance if it was finalised for the latter to once again see action in a leading European division in the Champions League.
As his family is already settled in California, sources said it would take something really special to pull Beckham away from the Galaxy. Beckham’s wife and kids love the California lifestyle and this is probably the main reason why he opted to be back with the reigning MLS champions.

The 36-year-old midfielder may have also realised that with Kaka and Alexandre Pato on the verge of moving to PSG, his playing time and chances to start may be lessened.
Beckham talked with PSG sporting director Leonardo between Christmas and New Year but the meeting turned out fruitless as far as the move to PSG was concerned.
