A NEW home means a new challenge for Bobby Zamora.
The 31-year-old England international is now with Queens Park Rangers after his £6-million move from Fulham was completed on Tuesday.
“This is the right time for me to have a fresh challenge,” said the striker after agreeing to a two-and-a-half year deal. ”I had some great experiences at Fulham. Going to a European final is special. This is a new challenge for myself and I’m thoroughly looking forward to it.”
His team switch found him being reunited with former Fulham manager Mark Hughes.
Zamora said he got on really well with Hughes while with the Cottagers where he added, they all grew to like the latter.
“I think that will be the case here (QPR). He’s looking to take the club forward,’’ added Zamora, in reference to Hughes.
Zamora’s relocation to Fulham came after former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse was also acquired by the Hoops earlier for £4 million.
Cisse also inked a contract with the Loftus Road outfit for two years and a half.
If his international clearance gets the go signal, Cisse will be available to play for his QPR debut against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
It was his desire to work with Hughes which Cisse said made him decide to move to west London.
“When I talked to the manager, he spoke highly of the club and where he wants to take it over the next few years,’’ he added. “QPR have a hugely ambitious project and the manager wants to achieve big things.’’
Cisse said the Premier League is the best in the world and it is the one that suits him the most.
“I have unfinished business in England,” added the striker, who spent three seasons in the league at Liverpool and Sunderland.
He also promised to give his 100 per cent while playing for the Hoops.

Zamora and Cisse are a welcome addition to the QPR roster. They may not have cost that much but they surely can deliver the goods for Hughes and team owner Tony Fernandes.
