The hottest WAGs in European Football (part 1)

Every summer, players all over Europe take time to give their battle-weary bodies some much-needed pampering and relaxation. One solution to this is to enjoy the sun, sea, and surf all over the continent – usually with the women they love.

In the case of some players, however, the summer scenery pales in comparison to the sleek, slender, tanned visions lounging right beside them.

And so, we present the first list what we think are the hottest WAGs (wives and girlfriends) of players in European football.

‘Shayk’ your groove thing

ROMANTIC vacations are nothing new to Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and so as his penchant for finding a new girl as fast as he eludes defenders on the pitch.

His latest caper took him to the sunny shores of Corsica Island in the Mediterranean with current flame Irina Shayk in tow. But first, let’s talk about this lady who has caught the eye of the world’s most expensive footballer.

Shayk, a beauteous Russian model and Ronaldo’s fellow Armani endorser, adds to the long list of the Portuguese womaniser’s girlfriends that once included hotel heiress Paris Hilton, tennis star Maria Sharapova and television personality Kim Kardashian, among others.

She made it back to circulation recently by posing nude for renowned American fashion designer Marc Jacobs.

The 25-year-old Shayk, showed some skin when she appeared on Jacobs’ latest t-shirt campaign themed “Protect the Skin You’re In.’’ She came into view with her back to the camera and showing her lovely long legs.

The statuesque Shayk burst to the scene after posing in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition to which she is the 2011 cover model. She won a local beauty pageant back home before she pursued a career in modelling.

How she and Ronaldo met remains a secret but it is speculated it was during last year when they posed for the underwear ads of Armani.

Shayk grabbed a lot of attention when she accompanied the Portuguese playboy on an escapade in Corsica last year, weeks before the footballer’s son conceived through a surrogate mother was born.

There, the two love-birds gambolled in the white beaches and played their hearts out splashing water to each other on a yacht probably owned by Ronaldo.

Thanks to Ronaldo, Irina’s star shone brighter. She found out that dating an extremely popular footballer is indeed one hell of a blast!

Cesc’s got the heat

CESC Fabregas had every reason to be in the mood for love even during those days when he was still pondering whether to stay at Arsenal or move to Barcelona.

It seems his mindset was not locked on that transfer rumours all along. It was wandering off the pitch and centred at the moment on his new squeeze.

Move over Carla! Cesc’s latest apple of the eye is a brunette named Daniela Semaan.

Cesc split up with Carla, his childhood sweetheart, three months ago but just as quickly as he executes plays at midfield, the latest Barcelona acquisition and former Arsenal captain had already lassoed his new-found love.

Daniela bears a striking resemblance to Carla, prompting the Daily Mail to report that the former lovers were back in each other’s arms. But to their horror, the lady who is now making Cesc float in cloud 9 is entirely different. Embarrassed, the Daily Mail altered their story.

Daniela is a 36-year-old head-turner and mother of two from Lebanon and she was spotted with Cesc as they cavorted on the beach in southern France recently.

Wearing a monokini, Daniela showed off her gorgeous figure, enough at one point for the newly-signed Barca player to take a quick plunge in the sea to release some high temperature.

Later on, Daniela gave Cesc a massage by the pool before they splashed onto it together. Lovely sight indeed!

The heat carried on later in the day. With Daniela now wearing a jaw-dropping two-piece bikini, Cesc and Daniela’s sister, Carlota, joined her for some jet-ski ride. Daniela rode with Cesc and while putting her arms around her famous beau, they skimmed the waters till dusk set in.

Gauging from Cesc’s body language, he appears to have recovered from his recent breakup with Carla. He can forget about Arsenal or Barcelona for a while but one thing is sure – his mind and heart are presently preoccupied with Daniela.

And a mother of two with those looks deserves attention.

Beaching around

THE off-season is the perfect time for players to cool it off literally as Premier League stars John Terry, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard recently hit the beaches with their comely other halves.

Toni Terry, the Chelsea captain’s wife, turned heads around in Abu Dhabi when she had some tan while splashing with her beau.

She was stunningly awesome in two sets of bikinis. She first appeared wearing a red polka dot attire that revealed her whistle-bait curves. And then she elicited another oohs and ahhs when she emerged in a black one piece costume only the daring and self-assured women would dare flaunt.

With the way Toni carried them perfection, it did not look like she already has two kids with John.

Colleen Rooney, meanwhile, flashed her sex appeal-oozing form in Barbados where she, her husband and Manchester United hotshot Wayne, and son Kai jetted off for some family holiday. Colleen romped around in a black bikini, attracting the looks and hisses of both the male and female species.

Rounding out the set of attention-getters was Christine Bleakley, Lampard’s girlfriend.

The Blues playmaker and her girl frolicked in a Las Vegas beach, with Christine displaying her willowy figure in a blue-and-white bikini. The couple also traded hot kisses not minding those around. They’re madly in love precisely because Christine is now sporting a ring on her finger.
